YOU WILL NEVER BEAT DES WALKER THEY SANG, IN PACKED OUT CLUBHOUSE

The Carlton Town Clubhouse was packed to the rafters as a Nottingham Forest Legend took to the Stage on Friday night and told some cracking stories about his time at Nottingham Forest under the legendary Brian Clough.

It was Des Walker, one of the finest players ever to wear the Gariboldi Red shirt who was our very special guest speaker, kindly stepping in at the last minute for And Reid who we are delighted to announce will now be our summer guest speaker on Friday 27th June from 7pm.

Des was on fine form and went down a treat after everyone had tucked into their Chilli and Chips with Farmhouse Bread on a lovely spring evening at Stoke Lane. “You will never beat Des Walker” the throbbing Clubhouse crowd sang as he took to the stage.
Des had played and captained the Nottingham Legends against Manchester United Legends in the recent Superstar Speakers game at the Bill Stokeld Stadium which attracted a record crowd of 1,722.

Msr Newsgroup kindly sponsored the event and helped raise much needed funds for the club and a new friend of Boatsy’s won the superb Trust Me draw and picked up a wonderful and valuable piece of Oasis Memorabilia signed both both Liam and Noel.
Dave Perrin won another super piece of memorabilia kindly donated by Vicky McClure in the Heads and Tails game at the sold out event and Blacky from our London branch won the framed Forest shirt signed by Nuno and Skipper Ryan Yates among others.
