YEL AWARD CARLTON THREE CUP FINALS ON BUSY SATURDAY IN MAY!
Carlton Town are delighted to announce that they have been awarded the staging rights for three Cup finals on Saturday 14th May by the Yel.
The Yel is the biggest and many believe the best set up for Junior football in the East Midlands and Carlton are proud to have been chosen as Chairman Mick Garton explained.
Garton was delighted to receive the news from Boatsy today.
“Gaz said that all our hard work in the community had not gone unnoticed and that we were being awarded 3 finals, the under 14s Saturday Shield which will kick off at 10.30am, the under 14s Saturday Presidents Cup 12.30pm and finally the under 14s Saturday’s Chairman Cup at 2.30pm”
“We have missed out on finals in recent years because we can’t afford to install a full size 4G pitch and the finals have generally gone to club’s who have these facilities, but we have spent good money on our surface this season thanks to the Supporters 150 Club and only suffered one first team postponement so far, where we have lost 4 or 5 regularly in recent years”
” It’s fantastic to hear that the Yel have taken note of this and it’s something I’m extremely proud of, the Charity games we have staged, the work we continue to do with World Game Changers, the relationship we are building with The Nottingham School of Boxing and the food banks we regularly have are all part of that and long may it continue” said the Millers Chairman.
Admission to the ground on the day is £3 Adults and the Millers will have all usual facilities open throughout the day.
