WINTER WONDERLAND STEPS IN AGAIN TO SPONSOR NEW STRIKER AND MORE UPDATES FROM STOKE LANE
It was the same month last year when we signed Alex Hardwick that the Winter Wonderland, courtesy of the Mellors Group stepped it to sponsor our new player and we are delighted to say that they have done so again for the 2024-2025 season.
They have come forward to sponsor new signing Harry Goddard, home and away and although Harry is out injured at the moment, supporters have seen exciting flashes of the youngsters potential in brief substitute apperances.
In other news, our Academy partners Pass Move Grin have announced their next Scholarship trials day to be held on the evening of Wednesday 27th November at the Bill Stokeld Stadium, full details will follow shortly.
Carlton visit Newton Aycliffe on Saturday and the club can confirm they will be running a coach for this game at the usual price of £15 for supporters (Children travel free), it will leave the ground at 10pm and Millers Barn at 10.30pm and supporters wishing to book, can contact Boatsy on 07907 064189 in the usual way.
Prizes have started to come in for the Annual Christmas draw and the official launch will be announced shortly, the popular £50 voucher for the Staunton Arms has just arrived along with prizes from Ramsdale Golf Club and Lindt.
The draw this year will be after the fixture v Bridlington on 21st December at Stoke Lane at 5.30pm and tickets remain at £1 each with books of 20 available to buy and sell on behalf of the club.
The club are delighted to confirm another special pre match guest with Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club’s Director of Cricket Mick Newell speaking to the Carlton Town faithful on Saturday 9th November at 2.30pm, before the clash with Stockbridge Park Steels.
It was a challenging season for Nottinghamshire and it will be interesting to get Mick’s take on it ahead of the Millers big Saturday afternoon clash.
A number of supporters asked senior figures at the club on Saturday if there was any news on Roger Smith’s funeral following his devastating death last week, Chairman Mick Garton spoke to Viv on Sunday and she has promised him a heads up for the club as soon as arrangements have been sorted and this website can confirm details will be put out as soon as we have them.
Finally we look forward to Tuesday night’s home clash with Ashington, with the hope the team can carry on where it left off on Saturday and with the added bonus of the October 200 club draw in the Howard Mitchell Sportsbar after the game , anyone wanting to join the 200 club at just £10 a month can speak to Alan on Tuesday night or contact Boatsy on the number above, there are just a handful of number available.
