WHAT A CRACKING AFTERNOON AT STOKE LANE IN SO MANY WAYS !
Where do you start, well all you can say is what a cracking afternoon both on and off the pitch for Carlton Town Football Club.
A Non League Day attendance of 286, a Foodbank collection piled high, a 300th appearance for Niall Davie, a special presentation to Viv Smith, a well supported game of Sticky 13, a full house of sponsors, nine happy mascots, the 200 club draw, two brilliant DJ Sets and oh, we nearly forgot, the Millers won again in the rain on the pitch.
Yes it was another win for the in form Millers, making it 12 games unbeaten and only one defeat in 16 games and although they still sit 8th, Carlton are now only 4 points outside the playoffs with 60 points from 35 games.
The goals were spread around again with a brilliant Nat Watson free kick opening the scoring, Liam Moran who deservedly won the supporters man of the match vote got the second and Dean Freeman the third.
Carlton believe they would have passed the 300 mark attendance wise had it not been for the heavens opening in the hour leading up to the game, but were pleased indeed with 286 following all the publicity they had given Non League Day.
There is plenty to talk about following this cracking afternoon, including the presentation to Viv and more coverage will follow from this remarkable afternoon soon, but for now, Carlton Town Tv have plenty to keep you entertained.
