UKRAINE DAY RAISED OVER 5K AND NEWS UPDATE FROM STOKE LANE.
The fantastic fund raising Day for the people of Ukraine at Carlton Town in conjunction with The Greyfriars raised over £5,000 in a memorable day over both venues on Sunday 30th April.
A packed Howard Mitchell Sportsbar hosted the Golden Envelope draw supported by Msr Newsgroup and Carlton Town Fc as pictured.
The four team tournament format proved a huge success and Carlton were delighted to be part of this superb effort.
In other news today, Carlton received a fantastic boost when their insurance brokers Russell Scanalan donated £500 towards the horrendous energy bill which has devastated the club in recent days and Kellys fund raising page which targeted at least £500 towards the amount of £7,900 has raised £460 as we go to press and supporter Stuart Fredricks as come forward at the ground and donated some racing memorabilia and £10 which will be banked Friday morning, thankyou Stuart !
The club’s presentation night will not take place on Friday 19th May as previously planned due to key people being unavailable that night. Although the club would like to do it in May, holiday commitments are making that impossible and the date of Friday 16th June is now being considered as a likely alternative.
Back to the main headline for this piece and it centre’s around that fantastic fund raising effort for Ukraine which involved a number of key figures at the Bill Stokeld Stadium.
