TWO IN AND TWO OUT AS MILLERS LOOK FORWARD TO ANOTHER BIG WEEK
The senior management team of Tommy, Mark and Clerky have had a busy 48 hours following Saturday’s dramatic draw with Liversage and ahead of two games this week, we have some breaking news to bring you.
Youngster Lord Marfo has left the club in a indefinite loan move to Harrowby, essentially to gain more game time and minutes under his belt and he joins our other exciting prospects Jonny Gilbert and Zak Hill at the Grantham based side.
Sam Hooper to has left the club to join Stavely. Sam picked up a nasty injury just before the start of the season and has been left playing catch up and with his University commitments increasing, he has been unable to commit to regular training and subsequently pin down a regular place in the side.
The management team have wished both the lads good luck and are delighted to announce two incoming’s, both on loan deals.
The club would like to welcome back very popular former Midfielder Ollie Clark who comes in immediately, all be it on loan for the next month from Stamford.
With Kyle Sargent away for October, Ollie should prove an excellent replacement.
Ollie (pictured) was outstanding in his first spell at Stoke Lane and earnt himself a move into the Northern Premier League’s premier League with Basford United.
Ollie was injured before ever kicking a ball with our neighbours and out for a considerable time and later moved onto Matlock Town and more recently Stamford, who we knocked out of the Fa Cup this season. We are sure our supporters will give him a warm welcome back indeed.
Our Second loan signing comes in from Mansfield Town for 3 months and is promising Mansfield Town midfielder Charlie Carter who did really well at Loughborough Dynamo last season.
This website understands that once Mansfield had made Charlie available for a loan move, he had the choice of three clubs, but chose to come to the Millers.
Charlie comes in as a direct replacement for Sam Hooper and is highly rated by the Mansfield coaching staff and earnt his first professional contract last year.
Both players signed should be available for selection immediately and Carlton have two big games this week, starting with a tough away trip to high flying Grimsby Borough who are 3rd in the table, on Wednesday 9th October, there is no coach running for this game.
This coming Saturday, Carlton take on Consett who are 15th at Stoke Lane, just below the Millers.
A massive thankyou to Barry North and Mark Steggles who have both taken sponsorship packages for this game and we can also reveal that the Howard Mitchell Sportsbar will show the Chesterfield v Notts County game which is live on Sky Sports from 12.30pm.
