TOPSY TURVEY MILLERS FAIL TO BUILD ON GOOD WORK !
Carlton Town failed to build on their good work of the last two weeks which saw gain back to back wins in games at home and away as they went down 4-1 at home to an impressive Lincoln United.
The Millers slip back to 17th in the table following the defeat and the Millers rarely tested former keeper Jack Steggles in the Lincoln goal, although he did make one fine save from a Niall Davey pile driver.
The Millers were stretched to the maximum, with injuries and suspension ruling out a number of players including Nat Watson, Arron O’Connor, Arron Opoku and Kyle Seargent to name but four and Captain Martin Ball went off in this game with a nasty gash to his head, but the Millers managers were still disappointed not to build on the good work of the previous fortnight.
Carlton will have to regroup again for their next fixture, which is the quarter Final of the Notts Senior Cup at home to Dunkirk on Wednesday night 7.45pm, Admission prices have been reduced for this game to £6 Adults, £4 Concessions and £2 under 16s.
A massive thankyou to our very special guest Ian Storey-Moore and all our sponsors who helped create a lively atmosphere at the ground and helped towards an attendance of 171 in a game where Kyle Tomlin (pictured) registered another goal in an otherwise disappointing afternoon for the Millers.
