TOMMY UPBEAT FOLLOWING 0-0 DRAW AT OSSETT UNITED!

Carlton Town joint manager Tommy Brookbanks was in a positive mood when he spoke to Carlton Town Tv after the 0-0 draw at Ossett United on Saturday afternoon.

Tommy was pleased with the team’s impressive football and a clean sheet with just the lack of a clinical finish to one of the chances created, being the difference between an away win and the point the Millers did take back to Stoke Lane.

The best chances fell to Nat Watson, whose goal bound effort was brilliantly blocked by Ellis Farrar, Kyle Sargent who hit the bar with a header and Liam Moran whose late effort brought an excellent save from Ossett keeper Aleks Petrovic.

The Millers had taken a full coach of supporters for the trip to Yorkshire and Tommy was quick to praise the fantastic away support pictured.

Carlton fall a place to 12th in the Northern Premier East League with 23 points from 17 games of the campaign played.

A statistic released on Friday shows the Millers have increased their home gates by 29% this season, the third highest increase in the division, their away support has also gone in the same direction in recent times.

Carlton have no midweek fixture again this week, but are at home again next Saturday, when North Ferriby are the visitors to Stoke Lane 3pm.
The mascot package has gone, but if you wish to take up any of the Matchday packages for next Saturday, please contact our Commercial and Marketing Manager Boatsy on 07907 064189.

Meanwhile, here is Tommy’s interview with Alan Murphy for Carlton Town Tv.
