TEN MAN MILLERS GO DOWN TO LEAGUE LEADERS AT STOKE LANE !

The Stockton Town boys pictured in the Howard Mitchell Sportsbar after the game, showed why they are the Champions elect with a clinical display at Stoke Lane in a compelling match that Carlton, despite going down to ten men early in the second half could well have at least had a share of the spoils.

Sponsors Gilbert Wealth thought the sending off of Carlton’s best player on the day Khyle Sargent was the turning point with the Millers goalscorer receiving two yellow cards.

For the record Steve Thompson gave Stockton an early lead following a corner and Carlton equalised through Sargent early in the second half before Thomas Coulthard headed home the 51st minute winner from a free kick.

A crowd of 155 which included a decent Stockton following were in good voice on both sides of the divide as Carlton pressed for a late equaliser, but it was not to be and the Millers remain 8th with Dunston next up at Stoke Lane on Tuesday night,
