STORM DAMAGE AT THE GROUND, BUT CLUB EXCITED ABOUT FIRST FRIDAY NIGHT HOME GAME

Carlton have once again been hit by storm damage at the Bill Stokeld Stadium following horrendous winds over the last few days, but are determined not to let the damage put the spoilers on their first ever Friday night home fixture v Grimsby Borough.

The damage to the perimeter fencing does not affect the area where spectators will stand and is in front of the training area and while there will still need to be extensive repairs, it will not impact on the club’s fixtures.

The one thing that could affect the fixture however is the rain and the club are praying for some dry weather in the lead up to the fixture and hoping the pitch will be good to go after all this weeks heavy rain.

ISET UK Have sponsored the game as part of their deal with the club and we look forward to welcoming them to Stoke Lane on Friday night along with our supporters club who are having an afternoon in Sneinton and pub crawling their way to the ground.

The 200 Club draw will go ahead tomorrow and there  has been a lot of positive feedback about a Friday night game, we will see how it pans out, but are really hoping for a great game and listening to a great DJ set in the Howard Mitchell Sportsbar and reading Joe’s  brilliant Matchnight programme.

The bad weather has impacted on our friends at Proper Football who will now not be travelling down for the game, but instead hope to cover our fixture v Winterton on Saturday 13th January.

The kick off is at 7.45pm.
