Basford United have activated an emergency clause in Kieran Preston’s loan deal which allows him to be recalled in certain circumstances and unfortunately for Carlton, those circumstances have now occurred and Tommy and Mark are on the search for a new goalkeeper, watch this space. “The club would like to thank Keiran for his excellent contribution this season, he has impressed everyone with his attitude and performances ” said Chairman Mick Garton.

In better news for the cliub, Arron Opoku (pictured) despite his weekly travelling commitments which have increased significantly this season, has told the club he is committed to seeing out his contract with the Millers, despite enquiries about his availability from clubs nearer to his current home.

Two fixtures have been announced this week with Carlton now visiting Spalding on Saturday 12th February and Ollerton in the Notts Senior Cup quarter final on Wednesday 16th February.
