STALEMATE V HANLEY AND PASCOE JOINS THE MILLERS TEAM AT STOKE LANE

Carlton played out an entertaining 0-0 draw with HanleyTown Fc at Stoke Lane on Saturday afternoon and it’s fair to say the two teams were fairly evenly matched, with Hanley having the better of the first half and the Millers controlling most of the second half.

Some outstanding saves in that first half by Felix meant the Millers went in at the interval on level terms, but Carlton certainly had the chance to win it in the second half and a draw was probably a fair outcome in front of a small crowd at Stoke Lane.

Guest Dj Theo Wing went down well, particularly with Tommy and Mick and his grandad Dave was an ex neighbour of Mick’s who also captained him 46 years ago when they played in the same football team over a couple of years.

A day of nostalgia and memories indeed and the Chairman had a big announcement for us.

“After an initial meeting with myself and Boatsy and a follow up meeting with myself and Dave Hodgson at Costa Coffee this week, I am delighted to announce we have appointed Pasco as the clubs new bar supervisor and he will take up the role in the middle of August”

”Pasco came to the game against Burton Albion last week to have a look at the set up, pour a few pints and meet a few people and instantly took a liking to the atmosphere and community spirit and also knew quite a few of our supporters, it was actually members of the supporters club who recommended him to the club”

“ I would like to place on record my thanks to the volunteers and Msr staff who have helped out with the bar during this vacuum period and we look forward to working with Pasco going forward, he has an infectious personality and will fit in well here, of that I’m confident” said the Millers Chairman.

After the Hanley 0-0 draw, Carlton Town Tv spoke to Joint manager Mark Harvey and Non League legend Peter Ward who is part of the management team at Hanley Town and both gave John Bryson excellent interviews which are well worth a listen.
