SPONSOR FOR DION, NOW CLUB SEEKS ONE FOR TOLANI !

The club would like to extend a big thankyou to our former tough tackling defender Dominic Thomas who has today kindly come forward to sponsor recent signing Dion Meikle and the other recent signing striker Tolani Omotola is now the only player in the first team squad who requires a sponsor.

Omotola is coming back to competitive football after a difficult injury, but his scoring record is impressive indeed. The 23 year old German born striker scored 18 goals for Witton Albion from 25 games during the 2016-2017 season and 7 goals for Coalville Town in 10 appearances in 2018 before  a fantastic 24 goals from 30 games for Barwell in 2019.

The fee to sponsor a player for the season is £60 and each player can have two sponsors and a handful already have.

In other news, it was the supporters club who keep all the stats, with that man now based in Manchester Sam Hodkin no doubt on the ball and although we have had higher attendances for friendlies over the years featuring Nottingham Forest and Notts County and Charity matches, our highest attendances for competitive matches are as follows

Higest ever Leek Town Playoffs 2011-2012 drew 2-2 lost 7-6 on penalties in front of 369.

Highest ever cup fixture League Cup FC United of Manchester won 2-1 with goals from Alex Troke and Grant Brindley in 2014 ( Danny Elliot and Martin Ball were in our side that night) in front of a an attendance of 336.

Highest ever League game is now 331 v Ilkeston last Saturday.

Carlton now turn their attention to Tuesday night 21st September when they visit Belper Town with a 7.45pm kick off.
