SHEFFIELD FC NEXT UP FOR THE MILLERS ON TUESDAY NIGHT!
Carlton Town face a midweek trip to Sheffield Fc on Tuesday night following the disappointment of the postponment of Saturday’s game against Emley Fc.
Carlton were expecting another bumper crowd, but rain throughout Friday and all night into Saturday morning left Wally with no choice but to call an inspection and the referee found many areas of the pitch saturated and with further significant rain forecast to come throughout Saturday afternoon, which it did, the game was called off.
One of the favourite away trips for the Millers supporters (pictured on an away trip) is Sheffield away, but that game to was postponed back on Saturday 4th January, so a rearranged away trip it is on Tuesday night.
Despite not playing on Saturday, the Millers remain 10th and Cleethorpes went top of he table after beating Sheffield themselves 2-0 at home.
Belper who the Millers beat last week stay third after a thrilling 3-3 draw at 6th placed Newton Aycliffe who the Millers play at home next Saturday 22nd February.
Fourth placed North Ferriby lost 1-0 at home to 7th placed Stockbridge, while 5th placed Dunston beat Bridlington 3-2.
Bradford Park Avenue who are directly above the Millers lost 3-1 at home to Consett, while Garforth who are 8th drew 0-0 with Grimsby Borough.
The team who are 11th, just behind the Millers are Bishop Auckland and they drew 1-1 at Ossett United.
On current League postions, the experts who every season seem to get things pretty much spot on, have projected that Carlton will move into the Northern Premier Midlands League for the 2025-2026 season.
Lots can happen between now and the end of the season with 12 games still to play, but it’s interesting none the less to keep abreast of what the experts are saying.
The kick off at Sheffield Fc on Tuesday night 18th February is at 7.45pm.
