RADIO NOTTINGHAM KICKS OFF NON LEAGUE DAY WEEK FOR THE MILLERS

Carlton Town are throwing their hearts and soul into Non League Day this year and it all kicked off on Radio Nottingham on Tuesday Night when Chairman Mick Garton, Commercial and Marketing Manager Gary Clarke and Carlton Town TV’s Ben Marsh took to the airwaves on the Arun Verma show “ In The Game” to promote the club and Non League Day.

This Saturday 22nd March is the big day and Carlton Town are offering the chance to Nottingham Forest, Notts County and Leeds United season ticket holders to come and try out a non league game for only £5 on production of their season card.
The offer is also for any season ticket holders of any other professional club, but primarily aimed at the for mentioned clubs due to their proximity to the two clubs playing at Stoke Lane.

The build up ramps up on Thursday at 5pm with a Carlton Tv special.
Three Quick Fire Five’s will be released featuring Millers player Michael Ford, Millers supporter Danny Harkin and Founder of Non League Day James Doe.

On Saturday the Clubhouse will be showing Notts County v Crewe Alexandra from 12.30pm, after 2pm Kelly will be taking to the microphone for some pub games and after the match Alan Murphy will take to the decks v Casual Dan in a vinyl playoff to provide some cracking after match entertainment.

There is also the small matter of Niall Davie’s 300th appearance for the club and he will rightly be recognised after the game, so even if the music is not enough to keep you there, paying tribute to one of our finest ever players hopefully will.

There is a full batch of sponsors on Saturday, so a big thankyou to Retro Sweet Kings, B4 Services, Motors For You, Taras Postalon and Holy Spirit Celtic Under 14s who are the mascots for the day.

It is also important to remember that the match is also a Foodbank game as we collect once again for the Netherfield Food Bank for those struggling with the cost of living at the moment, or even in more desperate need.

We are having extra programmes printed in anticipation of a good crowd and Joe Standon is working hard on that as we go to press.

We started this article by mentioning the excellent coverage Radio Nottingham afforded us on Tuesday evening and we will sign off by letting you listen back to Mick, Boatsy and Ben have their say about Non league Day, the Millers trio were on 39 minutes into the link below.
