QUICK TURNAROUND FOR RAMPANT MILLERS AND SUPER WELCOME BACK FOR ROG

Carlton Town fans let the Bill Stokeld Stadium in Jubilant mood, their president was back and they had just seen their team put 5 past Bishop Auckland in their first ever fixture against the boys from the North East.

The first big positive was the return of Roger Smith and he and wife Viv were given the warmest of welcomes, both from the supporters of both clubs before the game and then from the Carlton Town players and management after the game.

Lamin Manneh was the Millers hero with a brilliant hatrick, the on loan Jack Newall scored his 3rd goal in his 3rd start for the Millers and there was also a goal for Niall Hylton, Brandon Holdsworth scored the visitors consolation goal.

Carlton move up to 5th in the Northern Premier East League and will be back in action Bank Holiday Monday 26th when they visit old time rivals Garforth Town.
The last time Carlton visited this ground, was when they promotion to step 4 in the 2006-2007 season, Carlton have remained at this level ever since.
