QUICK FIRE MILLERS TO HOT FOR CONSETT AT STOKE LANE !

An outstanding first half display from Carlton Town saw them score three quick fire goals against their North East opponents in front of another hugely impressive home crowd at Stoke Lane.

Notts County supporters were coming through the gate at 12.30pm as the club were showing the entertaining 2-2 draw between Chesterfield and Notts County on the clubs screens.

The management team arrived with news of some big injuries with Nat Watson, Lamin Manneh and new striker. Ashley Goddard all ruled out after picking up injuries at Grimsby Borough in midweek.

The massive positive for the Millers was that others stepped up to the plate, in particular new signings Charlie Carter and Olly Clark and Alex Howes who opened the scoring with a fine finish into the bottom corner in the 7th minute.

Dean Freeman reacted quickest to make it two after James Anderson in the Consett goal had parried a goal bound effort from Liam Moran in the 14th minute and on 34 minutes, Liam Moran did make it three with another fine finish into the bottom corner.

The Millers under 11s teams this time provided mascots for the teams meeting the Miller Mouse who seemed to have grown and inch or two.
The youngsters and their parents help boost the gate with a decent following coming from Consett to and a final figure of 281 meant the Millers have had over 200 in the ground for all 4 league games so far this season.

Club Ambassador Ian Store-Moore was on fine form in the Howard Mitchell Sportsbar before the game to set the right note prior to kick off.

The win sees Carlton move up to 8th with their second win of the week and they now lie just two points outside the playoffs.

Exciting times indeed and some massive games are on the horizon, the Millers visit Bradford Park Avenue on Tuesday night who are 5th. Emley next Saturday who are top and then a week on Tuesday they welcome Belper Town who are second to Stoke Lane for a big midweek local Derby under the floodlights.
