PRESIDENT ON THE MEND AND ALL SET FOR CHRISTMAS DRAW 2022

Chairman Mick Garton and Commercial Manager Gary ‘Boatsy’ Clarke have both been doing the rounds over the last 24 hours collecting Draw ticket money in and securing some cracking prizes for the big Tuesday night draw.

On his travels , the Chairman called in on President Roger Smith and told us “Our President is sore and moving slowly, but positive and on the mend after his hip replacement operation and he would like to thank those who have sent messages to him and let the Carlton Town family know, he hopes to be at the Grimsby Borough game on Saturday 7th January although his beloved Viv will be doing the driving”

“She is an absolute rock for him and because he is so active, she may need a little patience, he has got some hard work ahead of him,  but they were both on great form today and we looking forward to seeing them both at Stoke Lane in the new year” said the Chairman.

“I would also like to thank everyone who has donated prizes for the Christmas draw and in particular Mark at The Boot Room, Julian at the Staunton Arms, Tom at Great Northern Inns, Sonia at Bombay West Bridgford , John Gorman for securing a great prize from Trent Bridge and of course Msr Newsgroup for a cracking first prize along with one or two other companies I deal with who have donated wine and Chocolate”

The draw takes on extra significance this season with many extra costs for the club to cover and in particular away travel costs.

The Chairman called in at the Boot Room this evening to collect a £50 voucher shown off by The Bootroom’s very own Danny.

The draw is at approximately 7pm in the Howard Mitchell Sportsbar on Tuesday 20th December.
