PREPERATIONS BEGIN FOR THE FINAL CHAPTER AS TOMMY APPEALS FOR FINAL PUSH
Millers joint Manager Tommy Brookbanks has today appealed for one last push off the pitch as well as on it to try and help the Millers secure a playoff spot for the first time since 2012.
The Millers were all set for the playoffs in 2020 when Covid struck at at time when the Millers were in amazing form going into the final few games, so it’s fair to say Tommy and Mark have unfinished business and would love to have a crack at it this season.
Tommy has asked everyone involved with the club to publicise the games, retweet, ask friends to come along etc starting on Tuesday night with the visit of Ossett United to Stoke Lane.
There is a genuine chance for the Millers to reach the Northern Premier League’s Premier Division for the first time in the club’s history and Tommy believes some extra support could help make the difference.
Kris the groundsman has already done much of the pitch preparation and with plenty of sunshine and wind over the last few days, the pitch looks good to go, but as a precaution the area that has caused a number of postponements this season has been covered tonight ahead of probable rain.
A big thakyou to Boatsy and Wally who have been on site this afternoon.
The Chairman’s son Josh Garton has kindly sponsored the game after winning a club super football card prize and will be in attendance on Tuesday night with a few friends encouraging the Millers to move a step closer to playoff qualification.
The kick off at Stoke Lane on Tuesday is at 7.45pm and we look forward to seeing you ahead of a massive two weeks in the club’s history.
