PONTEFRACT FIXTURE TO BE PLAYED AT BASFORD NEXT WEDNESDAY
Carlton Town can comfirm that their next home game v Pontefract Collieries will be played on Wednesday 20th March at Basford United, after a ruling by the league that any future home games in March must be played at another ground due to the amount of postponements at the Bill Stokeld stadium this season.
The club will keep the gate and any raffle money on the night, but will obviously lose all other revenue streams a home game brings and will obviously have to pay Basford for use of their pitch and facilities as well as the usual outgoings.
This website understands that Chris Munroe at Basford has been more than fair with the Millers in terms of that and the club are extremely appreciative to him for not only that, but for accommodating the game as options are obviously limited for the Millers with the chances of hiring another grass pitch at level 3 or 4 locally very limited and highly unlikely.
Season tickets will still apply for this game and the general admission charges will be the usual £10 Adults, £8 Concessions and £2 Under 16s with the game kicking off at 7.45pm.
The club will work hard in the coming week to come up with further solutions to hopefully ensure they can return to the Bill Stokeld Stadium for the April fixtures.
