PLAYOFF PUSH CONTINUES WITH FINE WIN AT HOME TO OSSETT!
With heavy rain forecast for between 4pm and 5pm, ground staff were on standby to cover vulnerable areas of the Carlton Town pitch, but the radar report from Trent Bridge also told the Millers that the heavy rain could skirt round the Bill Stokeld stadium, due to the variable wind direction and so it proved, with Leicestershire getting the worst of it and the Millers game v Ossett went ahead with no inspection necessary.
An early deflected goal from man of the match Lamin Menneh gave the Millers an early lead and although goalkeeper Felix Annan was called on to make a couple of top saves, the Millers always looked in control and well deserved their eventual 3-0 win with Nat Watson and Alex Howes also getting on the scoresheet to secure a massive 3 points for the Millers.
A massive thankyou to Josh Garton who sponsored the game and who is pictured presenting Lamin with his well deserved man of the match award in the Chuck Fowler Suite.
Lamin also spoke to Carlton Town Tv after the game, along with Darren Gee and both were full of positivity as the Millers head into 4 games in the last 10 days of the League season with a real chance of reaching the playoffs.
The first of those 4 games is away at Liversage on Thursday night, but as we go to press, we are not sure where the game will actually be played.
