O’ CONNOR AT THE DOUBLE AND SPONSOR FLYS INTO WITNESS IT !
Carlton Town completed what was certainly their best week of the season so far with a 2-0 win at Tadcaster in the battle of the bottom two.
Tuesday night’s fantastic win at Mansfield Town to take the Millers to another Nottinghamshire Senior Cup Final was special enough, but in many ways the win at Tadcaster was even more important.
Arron o’ Connor has struggled with injuries this season, but after an excellent performance in Tuesday’s Semi Final, he was again given a starting shirt by Joint Managers Tommy Brookbanks and Mark Harvey.
He didn’t disappoint and scored both goals to improve the Millers chances of avoiding the dreaded drop and the added bonus was that his kit support sponsor had flown in from Ireland for the game.
That man is Geariod Lynch of The Munsters Irish branch of the Nottingham Forest supporters Club who have supported Carlton as well brilliantly this season and he is pictured with Arron on the team Coach.
Carlton’s away form has been decent this season and is not the reason the club finds itself where it is, the home form , well that is a different story!
The Millers have a real chance to address this however this week, with two massive home game. Firstly this coming Tuesday Brighouse are the visitors to Stoke Lane and then next Saturday, it’s Bridlington.
Can Carlton have their second brilliant week in a row, only time will tell , but if they receive the same wonderful support from their supporters they have had from the two away games last week, it will most certainly help!
