NIALL DAVIE BOOST FOR MILLERS AHEAD OF SHILDON CLASH!

Joint Manager Tommy Brookbanks was in a positive mood today when he spoke to us ahead of a big weekend at Stoke Lane.

Shildon who are now just above the Millers after defeating Grantham Town 1-0 are the visitors to Stoke Lane this coming Saturday.

The Millers have Match Sponsors, Matchball Sponsors and Programme Sponsors for the big clash , so a big Thankyou to Mick Bird, Mike Hurley and Kelly Marie Mortgage Solutions.

Tommy told us “The players are working really hard in training , we had an excellent work out at Eastwood last Saturday and I’m confident better results lie ahead”

”Niall should be back with us quicker than originally thought, he has his plaster off later this week and is upbeat, we will obviously give him the time he needs to get things right and it is obviously too early to put a date on it, but he is definitely ahead of schedule, which is obviously a positive for us and for him” said Tommy.

“I am also delighted to report Arron O Connor is is back in training and set to be involved sooner rather than later , we will make a decision on wether that’s on Saturday or against Mansfield on Tuesday after speaking with Arron in the next couple of days” concluded the Millers upbeat joint manager.

Tuesday 31st January is the day the Millers will now play Mansfield Town away in the Semi Final of the Notts Senior Cup at The one Call Stadium. We will build up to that game after the weekend.

With the weather forecast improving meanwhile, the Millers are confident Saturday’s game will go ahead and with Nottingham Forest not playing, Carlton are hoping for a decent crowd at The Bill Stokeld Stadium.
