NEWS UPDATE FROM STOKE LANE AS WE WAIT ON THE WEATHER !
Carlton Town are praying that the Saturday weather is not as bad as the forecast is stating as they are already at least 2 games behind most teams in the Northern Premier League East Division.
Details have come through of those two rearranged games and the match with Stockton will now take place on Tuesday 21st November with the Cleethorpes clash now scheduled for Tuesday 5th December, both at Stoke Lane.
On the pitch, the club can report that defender Dan Brown has had a scan on his knee and the damage does not seem to be as bad as first feared and the club are hoping Dan will be back in action in weeks rather than months, Tommy Brookbanks has told us today.
In other news, the club accounts relating to the 2022-2023 season are now completed and the AGM will this year take place on Monday 13th November from 6pm at the ground.
The supporters club have informed us that 6 numbers have become available in the 200 club due to non payment from the participants highlighted during a club audit, the numbers available are 76, 78, 125, 136, 146 and 147. We would obviously warmly welcome new participants at £10 per month with a top monthly prize of £200, a prize of £100 and 4 prizes of £50 per month and a bonus prize provided by Sponsors MSR Newsgroup every quarter of either Hospitality at Nottingham Forest or Trent Bridge or an item of Memorabilia.

The Christmas Luncheon in the Howard Mitchell Sportsbar with Mark Crossley on Friday 24th November from 1pm is close to a sell out again, with only 10 tickets remaining after another 4 were booked today. Phone Boatsy on the above number if you want to secure one of those at £40 each to include Christmas lunch.
One of the items not in the raffle or auction this year is a Joe Worrall signed and framed picture , the club have donated it to the Starting Gate Pub in Colwick to help them raise money for the Children’s Hospital charity and the Chairman drooped in to hand over the donation to manager Jess recently, further details are on the clubs “in the community” page as the Millers continue to do their best to help local Charities and the local community in which they are at the heart of.
Finally a reminder that the Millers are back in action midweek with a visit to Nottinghamshire County Cup holders Newark and Sherwood and the Millers will be looking to avenge last years Cup Final loss, the game is on Tuesday night with a 7.45pm kick off.
