NARROW DEFEAT SEES MILLERS EXIT THE FA CUP AT LEAMINGTON
Step two opposition away from home once again proved a step too far for the Millers as they went out of the Fa Cup following a narrow 1-0 defeat at Leamington.

Carlton started the game brightly but Leamington gradually took control in the first half and scored a back post header through Ewan Williams and the Millers were second best for the remainder of the first half.
Carlton came out for the second half with belief and intention and gave it a go, but chances were few and far between, mainly due to the fact that Leamington were so bloody good at the back, a corner that flashed across the six yard box and a Liam Moran shot when put through, which was well saved by Hawkins in the Leamington goal were their best opportunities.
The Millers to were solid at the back and Dean Freeman and Dan Brown were particularly impressive and Felix was largely untroubled in the second half in the Millers goal, but the one thing Carlton needed was a goal, to at least force a replay and that was the achilles heal on the afternoon.
Tommy Brookbanks speaking in the bar afterwards certainly thought it was an opportunity missed, there certainly did not look to be two divisions between the two sides, but chances against a step two side were always going to be at a premium and the Millers failed to convert one of the few that they created.
Carlton Town Tv caught up with a passionate man chanting in the background after the final whistle and Carlton Town Assistant Manager Andy Clerke who to felt somewhat frustrated that the Millers were out of the Fa Cup.
