MORE STARS COMFIRMED FOR SUNDAY’S CHARITY GAME AT STOKE LANE!
Carlton Town are delighted to comfirm the appearance of last years player of the match Jemma Connor-Iommi for The World Game Changers side to face a Carlton Town team next Sunday 22nd May 2.30pm at Stoke Lane in this years big end of season Charity game.
We can also comfirm the appearance of Forest Ladies Captain Lyndsey Harkin in the World Game Changers side and Radio Nottingham Presenter Mark Dennison’s son Joe Denninson (pictured) who appeared alongside Forest Legend David Johnson when he was only 8 years old some 17 years ago in a charity match organised in conjunction with Jo and Twiggy at the then Trent Fm in a live broadcast from Stoke Lane.
Former Motherwell striker Mark Slythe will also be playing and Carlton Town legends, Phil Bignall, Domanic Thomas and Grant Brindley are also on board for one team or the other.
More announcements are set to follow in the coming days as we build up to the final game on the main pitch before close season , when work will be carried out to hopefully help maintain the improved playing surface which has meant only one first team postponement during the 2021/2022 season.
An auction and prize draw are very much part of next Sundays afternoon with some cracking auction prizes certainly worth bidding on !
