MILLERS TO DONATE REMAINING TOTE MONEY TO FLORENTINA FUND.
After talks with the supporters club, Carlton Town have agreed to donate the remaining £125 in the Tote fund to Sunday’s big Charity event at Stoke Lane for Florentina.
The event being held in conjunction with Total Reclaims starts at 12 Noon this coming Sunday 22nd August features Bouncy Castles, Face Painting, a cake stall, penalty shoot out, Tombola and a raffle with the first prize a 43″ Television.
There are other things going on to including a Braving the shave and the Millers bar and snack bar will be open throughout the afternoon with Sky Tv showing Southampton v Man United and Arsenal v Chelsea.
On the main pitch a Carlton Town X1 with play a Total Reclaims X1 at 2pm with donations invited on the gate for the fund for the beautiful young girl who at just 4 years old has cancer.
Florentina who is pictured with a newly born baby sister has undergone 8 rounds of Chemotherapy and the positive news from the family today is that the tumour has shrunk and that a Stem cell harvest has now begun with plans for a pre op next week and surgery a week later. Florentina will then go into intensive care before more chemotherapy and Radiotherapy afterwards before more challenging treatments after that.
The fund is being established to then help send Florentina to New York for a Vaccine.
Over £200,000 needs to be raised and this event will contribute towards that fund, the club is hoping for a good turnout to support the event which is for a fantastic cause indeed.
The raffle will be drawn after the event in the Clubhouse and a prize of hospitality for two at a game at Nottingham Forest will be auctioned after being donated by Carlton’s main sponsors Msr Newsgroup.
Florentina has a long road ahead of her, but the Millers after a request by coach Dan Goddard to help, hope to do their bit along with Total Reclaims and the club’s wonderful family of players, management, supporters and Commitee and staff.
Carlton Chairman Mick Garton and Stella Wright from Total Reclaims have both been on Radio Nottingham tonight talking about and promoting the event .
