MILLERS SECURE DOUBLE OVER BRIDLINGTON ON BIG CHRISTMAS SATURDAY AT STOKE LANE

Santa Clause arrived as promised, special VIP guest Dr Marcellus Baz BEM arrived soon after, closely followed by Vivian Smith who always sees us win!
With all the main guests in the house, it was then left to Carlton Town to produce the goods on the pitch and they didn’t let anyone down, beating Bridlington 3-2 in a cracking game of football at Stoke Lane.

Santa kindly stayed till half time, dishing out some cracking presents for the happy children who came from the Junior section and guests of switch up and Marcellus spoke brilliantly in the bar before the game in conversation with Chairman Mick Garton.

Goals from man of the match, Nat Watson, Alex Howes and Dean Freeman saw the Millers home and the goals scored from both sides could have been even more, given both keepers made a number of outstanding saves.

Carlton will be delighted to have done the double over Bridlington and move up to 10th, nine points outside the playoffs with 20 games still to play.

The atmosphere was outstanding in the Howard Mitchell Sportsbar after the game, with Alistair on top form on the Cornet and the big Christmas draw carried out between 5.30pm and 6pm.

Some of the 27 prizes were claimed on the night as lovely Viv stepped up to the plate, but a full list of winners will be published in the coming days.
