MILLERS OVERCOME AFC MANSFIELD TO GO INTO MONDAY’S DRAW !

Carlton Town came through a tricky preliminary Round of the Fa Cup at AFC Mansfield on Saturday afternoon to go into Monday’s draw for the First Round qualifying.

Afc Mansfield had already beaten the Millers pre season and have made a barn storming start to the new campaign.

The 3-1 win came courtesy of a brace from Nat Watson and a Dean Freeman header, with former Miller Kaylum Mitchell scoring an impressive goal for the home side.

The 3-1 win means Carlton Town v Dunston on Saturday 31st August is now postponed, as that is the date of the next round of the Fa Cup and the Millers eagerly await Monday’s draw to see who they will face in the next round.

Another busy week awaits the Millers however with a visit to Cleethorpes Town this coming Tuesday 20th August, before a mouth watering home game next Saturday when Carlton and Bishop Auckland play each other for what we believe is the first time ever.
The kick off at Stoke Lane is at 3pm.

Tommy Brookbanks spoke to Alan Murphy for Carlton Town Tv after the 3-1 away at AFC Mansfield.
