MILLERS HOPING FOR BIG THAW AND XMAS PRIZES ARE FLOODING IN!
Carlton Town have had to cancel all their 3G bookings for the last two nights and close the Howard Mitchell Sportsbar, due to the extensive snow that fell at Stoke Lane in the early hours of Tuesday morning, leading to a significant loss of revenue for the club and they are hoping for a big thaw to allow Saturday’s game v North Ferriby to go ahead and the 3G pitches to come back into play, hopefully in their case on Thursday evening.
On a positive note, some cracking prizes are coming in for this year’s Christmas draw and Northern Inns have stepped up to the plate for the club today, donating prizes for both the Navigation and William Gunn pubs, so a massive thankyou to Tom and Owen for their kind support.
The club have also been supported with prizes from the Staunton Arms just off the A52 on route to Grantham and have also secured a £100 voucher from Marco Pierre white’s prestigious Nottingham City Centre restaurant.
A vodka gift box from Nottingham Forest and two excellent prizes from Ramsdale Golf Club are also in the draw and this website understands vouchers from both The Boot Room and Bombay on Radcliffe Road along with a T20 Family pass from Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club have also been promised from the three significant friends of the club.
Commercial manager Gary ‘Boatsy’ Clarke and Deputy Commercial Manager Gaz Bee have taken a significant number of tickets to sell along with Chairman Mick Garton and supporters Chief Alan Murphy who always does the club proud, will be on selling duty soon as well along with other members of the Committee and playing and management staff to support this vital fund raiser.
The club have plenty going on in the lead up to Christmas and will continue to build theatre around all their fixtures where possible and in particular the December home games. Watch this space !
