MILLERS FACE LONG JOURNEY NEXT TUESDAY AS PLAYOFF PLANS ANNOUNCED
Carlton Town face an away trip to Brighouse on Saturday and the coach is already full for the Millers final league game of the season.
Whatever the result on Saturday, Carlton now know they have made the playoffs for the first time since 2012 when under Les Mcjannet and Mark Clarke, they lost on penalties in the semi Final to Leek Town at Stoke Lane who then lost in the final to Ilkeston Town.
Carlton are guaranteed a 5th placed finish, but that does mean an away tie against either Hebburn or Stockton, who both face tough away fixtures on Saturday which will determine who goes up automatically and who will face the Millers in the Playoff Semi Finals on Tuesday night in the North East.
A coach has been booked and is set to leave Stoke Lane at 2.30pm/3pm and Millers Barn at 3pm/3.30pm depending on the opposition, at the usual cost for supporters of £15 return.
This website understands that although we have not officially announced the coach till now, people have been contacting the supporters club and Boatsy to book places and as we go to press, it is close to being sold out.
Contact Boatsy on 07907 064189 and if he will let you know if there are any spaces remaining.
Carlton also have an end of season speakers event next Friday 3rd May 7pm and only 15 tickets remain for an evening with International Cricket umpire and former Nottinghamshire batsmen David Millns.
Tickets are £40 and includes a 2 course meal and once again; any one interested in attending and supporting this event can contact Boatsy on the above number.
What an exciting time it is at our small community football club, helping Charities, putting on food banks for the homeless and less well off, but also providing entertainment on the football pitch for the local community and reaching the playoffs for the first time in more than a decade, well done to everybody involved and Thankyou to our cracking supporters for the wonderful ongoing support.
