MILLERS CLOSE IN ON TOP POSITION WITH OUTSTANDING WIN AT SOHAM TOWN!
Carlton Town moved to second in the Northern Premier Midlands Division after an outstanding 6-0 win at Soham Town Rangers, while previously unbeaten Halesowen were going down 1-0 to Ilkeston Town.
The biggest factor from the Millers perspective is the massive improvement in goal difference with the 6-0 win meaning Carlton go just one goal behind on goal difference to Halesowen.
They was a penalty brace from the ever dependable Tom Maddison, and another for substitute Arron Opoku, another goal from Kieran Knight and one from the impressive Tyler Blake.
There was excellent away supporter for the Millers with a significant number travelling on the official coach.
Chairman Mick Garton speaking Live on Notts Tv on Friday evening told presenter Owen Shipton that the Millers were targeting the playoffs this season and this latest win certainly cements their position within that top five.
In other significant results, Chasetown continued their excellent form beating Corby Town 2-1 while Belper beat Bedworth United 5-0.
Chasetown are also on 30 points, with Halesowen and Carlton and are now 3rd and Ilkeston Town are 4th on 29, before a gap to Coleshill on 24 points.
