MILLERS BACK IN ACTION ON SATURDAY AT STOKE LANE AND PRAYING TO BEAT THE WEATHER
Carlton are hoping and praying they can get a home game in this Saturday when promotion chasing Hebburn are the visitors to Stoke Lane.
Chairman Mick Garton and joint Manager Tommy Brookbanks have both said this week that in their long associations with the club, neither of them can remember a wetter winter and the rain always seem to fall heavily leading up to a Carlton home game.
Weather wise, it’s been a season to forget with Carlton losing many Saturday home fixtures when gates are usually much higher and beer sales substantially higher.
They will try again this Saturday and despite heavy rain due through Thursday evening, the forecast now looks more encouraging for Friday and Saturday, so fingers crossed!
Kick off is 3pm at Stoke Lane with Admission £10 for adults, £8 concessions and £2 Children.
Joe Standon’s excellent matchday day programme will also be available at only £2 and features articles by Alan Murphy and Phil Jennings along with Danny’s popular chip shop review.
Gilbert Wealth have kindly sponsored the game and we hope Jon and his guests have a cracking afternoon.
