MILLERS AWAY TRIP OFF, BUT £800 RAISED AS DAVID PRUTTON APPEARS ON CARLTON TOWN TV.

With Carlton only able to host one home game during the whole of March due to the weather and then the order from the league to play elsewhere, Chairman Mick Garton and Commercial Manager Gary Clarke have been working hard to bring money in to pay wages and bills, but instead of focusing on their own supporters again, they have filled up two football cards with friends at the brillant Boot Room pub (pictured) and Nottingham Forest.

The first super football Card with a prize of £500 was scratched off by Sky Tv EFL lead presenter, former Nottingham Forest star David Pruton on Carlton Town Tv and the prize was won by the Chairman’s son Josh Garton.

Josh has donated nearly half the money he has won back to the club by way of taking out a match sponsorship for the game v Ossett United on Tuesday 16th April.

The second card with a prize of two hospitality seats for aT20 game at Trent Bridge donated by our main Sponsors MSR Newsgroup was scratched off by Shannon Garton and the winner was Tom Nightingale who hosts the club’s official website and does not charge the club a penny, Tom has also appeared in 5 Pool Marathons in recent years at the ground helping raise significant funds for the club.

The club’s fixture backlog took a significant and frustrating twist this evening when the away game v Liversage was called off again, despite the fact it had been moved to Emley Fc, the rain is most certainly still in control !

We have a massive weekend ahead with Ashington the visitors on Saturday in conjunction with the Bitcoin Festival and on Sunday, the club is hosting Ron Clarke’s memorial event , more information on both these massively important days, all be it for different reasons will follow in due course.
