MILLERS ARE 10TH AFTER EXCELLENT AWAY WIN AT PONTEFRACT
Carlton Town are 10th in The Northern Premier East League after Saturday’s fine 2-0 away win at Pontefract, with goals from Alex Howes (pictured) and Lamin Manneh seeing the Millers home in a clash of the two sides who both made the playoffs last season.
There was also a debut for exciting young striker Harry Goddard, who has been signed from Basford United and came on as a second half substitute.
Carlton will be hoping to capitalise on games in hands as they once again endeavour to mount a playoff push.
The Millers have two home games this coming week against opponents who themselves had outstanding results on Saturday.
Dunston who Carlton face on Tuesday night, had a brilliant 4-1 away win at 4th placed Cleethorpes while Liversage who Carlton face next Saturday won 4-0 at home to Newton Aycliffe.
So two exciting home games on the horizon, against two teams bang in form, a real double test for the Millers who have only played 3 games in total at Stoke Lane this season.
Alan Murphy was on Carlton Town Tv duty at Pontefract and caught up with Joint Manager Tommy Brookbanks after the excellent win.
