MILLERS ANNOUNCE SUPPORT FOR NEW MENTAL HEALTH CHARITY

Carlton Town are to help a mental health charity get off the ground in Nottingham, by allowing them free use of the Brian Dennett suite for their meetings which will take place on the second Wednesday of each month at the Bill Stokeld Stadium.

Carlton Town Chairman Mick Garton told us “I have had dialogue with Ian from the charity over the summer and recently met him at the ground, we are really keen to help with this, mental health is so important and by bringing people together at the ground, hopefully we can do our bit to make a difference and all the details from Ian are below”

How are you? Out of 10? Talk Club is launching at Carlton Town FC! Second Wednesday of the month 7-9pm

Talk Club is a UK male mental health charity helping men to improve their mental health. Mental health is just like physical health, but for your brain.

Think of Talk Club like a gym session, where you can become mentally stronger from just talking about your worries.
Get mentally fit. Be mentally strong.

Starting on Wednesday August 14th, Talk Club is being generously hosted by Carlton Town FC. The meetings are led by a trained volunteer Captain, Ian. It’s all based around the question – How are you? Out of 10?

It’s regular blokes talking about their
stresses and worries. But it’s also
taking time to think about what we are grateful for and sharing how we are going to look after ourselves.

Talk Club has over 100 groups across the UK, and this is a first in Nottingham. Liam Gallagher, Tyson Fury and Troy Deeney are among their ambassadors and patrons.

There is no need to book, just turned up – second wednesday of the month 7-9pm. Open to all men, 18+
