MANSFIELD STRIKER BOOST FOR MILLERS AHEAD OF NORTH SHEILDS CLASH.

Tommy Brookbanks and Mark Harvey have given a rallying call to the players to step up to the plate as the conquences of relegation begin to really sink in at Stoke Lane.

Following the fantastic away win at Mansfield Town, followed up by a 2-0 win at Tadcaster in a six pointer, many believed the club had turned the corner, but that has not proved to be the case with two successive 4-2 defeats home defeats following before a 0-0 draw at Sheffield and a 2-0 home defeat to Hebburn.

As highlighted in yesterday’s update, Carlton are running out of games and Tommy himself responded to the article in positive fashion. He and Mark will have been boosted by an 8-1 win in last night’s friendly at Stoke Lane with former Millers coach, the highly respected Paul Rockley bringing his AFC Mansfield team to Stoke Lane.

Tommy described it as an excellent work out and has this morning completed the loan signing of young Mansfield Town striker Oliver Wilson (pictured) on loan for the remainder of the season. “Olly is a promising young strong striker with an eye for goal” he told us.
