MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT-BARRY NORTH APPOINTED MILLERS VICE CHAIRMAN.
Carlton Town are delighted to announce the appointment of Barry North as their new vice Chairman.
The Carlton players and fans were given the news by Chairman Mick Garton at the end of the Hucknall Town friendly clash and Barry was presented with his club tie by new joint managers Tommy Brookbanks and Mark Harvey.
Brookbanks went on to say a few words, before North addressed the audience and received warm applause, the club then presented his son Gary with a birthday cake and wife Jackie was one of the horse owners among the prizes, winning Thorntons and Maltesers chocolates as the club enjoyed the after match races which some of the Hucknall Town contingent kindly stopped on for too.
The appointment of North fills a vacancy left when Paul King stepped down towards the end of last season after 4 years alongside Mick Garton and Kings departure had certainly left a void at the top of the club.
North brings a wealth of experience having been Chairman at Gresley Fc and vice Chairman at Shepshed and gave an exclusive interview to Carlton Town Tv which is set to go out on Monday.
One of his first tasks at the club is to try and help the club find a matchday Secretary to assist general secretary Trevor Wells, who is the club’s physio on matchday’s
