LOZ IN WITH GOAL OF THE MONTH CHANCE, NEW YEAR’S NEWS ROUND UP

December was on the whole a good month for the Millers and Lawrence Stuart’s brilliant strike at Ashington is deservedly one of the nominations for goal of the month.

To view the goals and place your vote, hopefully for Lawrence, then follow the links below, let’s all get behind our popular defender, when he scores, they are usually special and this was no exception!

It was no surprise when Saturday’s trip to Sheffield Fc was called off with winter taking it’s grip on the fixtures.
There were only 3 fixtures in the Northern Premier East League with Belper Town beating Bradford Park Avenue 3-2 in Bradford, Emily beating Newton Aycliffe 3-0 and Sherwood Colliery beating North Ferriby 1-0.

Belper move ahead of Cleethorpes to top of the league, with Emley well placed in third.
Carlton remain 10th while local neighbours Sherwood Colliery move up to 15th.

Carlton are away again on Saturday when they visit Liversage and the club will be running a coach for this game at the usual price for supporters of £15 return.
The coach will leave the ground at 10.30am and Millers Barn at 11am, contact Boatsy on 07907 064189 to book your seat.

The latest edition of Quick Fire Five features Malc Brown and is already going down a treat.
