LOTS TO LOOK FORWARD TO ON SATURDAY AS OLD RIVALRY RESUMES!
Former Nottigham Forest Star John O’Hare will be the club’s very special guest this coming Saturday as Carlton once again welcome Sheffield Fc to Stoke Lane.
O ‘Hare who was guest speaker at the Lane early this year was part of the wonderful side built by Brian Clough and Peter Taylor in the late 1970’s and famously won the penalty which saw Forest beat Liverpool in the 1978 League Cup Final.
Carlton have a whole host of sponsors on Saturday with Vice President Jackie North sponsoring the match, World Game Changers the Match Ball, Motors for you sponsoring the programme and Sheffield John sponsoring the Mascots.
There will be guests courtesy of the Nottingham School of Boxing as part of the sponsorship packages and a bucket collection on the day for one of our Charity partners, Forever Stars courtesy of our regular new sponsor and volunteer Kelly.
On the pitch, Carlton will be hoping to get back to winning ways after Tuesday’s 2-0 defeat at the hands of the impressive Grantham Town Fc and the Sheffield fixture is usually a cracking one.
Carton have another big week coming up with a major announcement re the 150 Club and news re first time guest Ales from our friends at Castle Rock which will be available for the Firework Extravaganza and Cleethorpes clash the day after. The Milers also start their defence of the Notts Senior Cup when they entertain Southwell City on Tuesday night 7.45pm.
Details on that game and the other announcements will follow in the coming days, but for now the focus is on Sheffield Fc .
