IRISH BRANCH LOVED THEIR WEEKEND IN NOTTINGHAM
Carlton Town was a special place to be on Saturday with Guest Speaker Gary Campbell and his lovely wife Emily down from Birmingham and our Match Ball Sponsors Mike and JJ Hurley over from our Irish Branch and what a weekend they had.
They loved meeting Ian Storey-Moore who signed a picture for them and after watching the Millers beat Pontefract 3-0 at Stoke Lane on Saturday, joined Chairman Mick Garton, Strategic Development Officer Dave Hodgson and Tom Hughes from Aerocom, now one of Carlton’s main sponsors at the City Ground on Sunday as Nottingham Forest beat Southampton 3-2.
The big question surrounding the weekend was who pinched the Miller Mouse’s shorts, he had to improvise and did so impressively as our cover picture shows.
Hughes, also from Ireland then joined the Chairman and the two brothers for a lovely couple of hours in the Bootroom, they had enjoyed Saturday evening in the Greyfriars with Boatsy as well, some weekend for the popular brothers.
They enjoyed the weekend so much that they have both sponsored Match Balls for the next two home games and asked us to pass on their thanks to the Millers supporters for making them both so welcome.
The club is equally grateful to them, two top guys indeed!
Gary and Emily Campbell both enjoyed an evening at Bombay and told Mick and Greg Last how they to had been made to feel so welcome at the Bill Stokeld Stadium, that they had hardly seen any football.
A lovely weekend is over, another challenging one awaits the Millers as they travel to Consett next Saturday with the coach leaving Carlton Town at 9am and Millers Barn at 9.30am.
Despite the longer journey time, the cost to travel for supporters remains at £15 return and Boatsy is available on 07907 064189 to take bookings.
