HEBBURN PROVE TO STRONG FOR THE MILLERS AT STOKE LANE !
Once again massive credit to the groundsman Kris and in particular Adam from Southwell Racecourse, Johnathon and his family, Lou from Lincoln and John and Steve at Trent Bridge for the radar updates which again has enabled Carlton to get a game on against the odds, following more heavy overnight rain throughout Monday evening.
After 3 consecutive victories, Carlton entered the game in confident mood, but second placed Hebburn Town proved too strong for the Millers and ran out 3-1 winners on the night.
Carlton it could be argued played the better football, but Hebburn were ruthless in front of goal, mainly due to the brilliance of Amar Purewal who is without doubt one of the finest forwards in this league.
Carlton remain 7th while Hebburn are 2nd and putting pressure on top of the table Stockton, the Millers should not be to disappointed, when Nat Watson made it 1-1 with a fine header, the Millers looked favourite’s to go on and win the game , but ruthless Hebburn were having none of that and travelled back to the Noth East in buoyant mood.
Carlton visit Newton Aycliffe on Saturday 3pm and Carlton Town Tv spoke to Clerky after the 3-1 defeat.
