GARFORTH TO STRONG FOR MILLERS WHO DROP TO TENTH IN THE TABLE

When the Carlton Town coach had a minor accident in the Millers Barn Car Park, it was probably a sign of the afternoon to come.

Kyle Sargent pulled up with what looked like a hamstring injury in the first minute of the game and the Millers went in at the break a goal down after Lewis Druro made a hash of a clearance and when the ball fell to the impressive Marshall, he made no mistake.

Garforh continued to hold the upper hand in the second half and it was no surprise when Marshall added a second and substitute Burgess a third with a fine finish into the corner.

Lewis Druro then completed an afternoon he will want to forget by getting a straight red card, but ironically Carlton then had their best spell of the game.
Carlton’s best player on the day Nat Watson pulled one back and Jack Newall should have added a second after a brilliant lay off from substitute Zak Hill, but on this occasion, Jack pulled his shot wide when through on goal.
With 4 minutes of injury time still to go at that time, the Millers could have laid siege for a late barrage in an attempt to pick up an unlikely away point, but it was not to be.

The Millers will be delighted once again with excellent away support which contributed to the attendance of 321.

The Millers drop to 10th in the table after the 3-1 defeat with 2 wins, a draw and 2 defeats from their opening five league games.

Following the 3-1 defeat to Garforth, Carlton Town Tv spoke to Clerky
