FUND RAISING AND DONATIONS NOW ABOVE 6K AS MILLERS CLOSE IN ON CLEARING 8K ENERGY BILL!
Carlton Town are closing in on clearing the huge Energy bill they received a few weeks ago thanks to the generosity of friends of the club and supporters.
Mick Garton and Barry North started the fund with £1,000 each closely followed by Gilbert Wealth £500 and Russell Scanlan £500.
Since we reported that, £500 has been raised on a football number card won by Sharon, a friend of supporters club member Nigel Harlow. Sharons prize is also £500 with her chosen team Lincoln City being scratched off by Alan Murphy.
An anonymous donation of £250 was given to Kelly Mitchell and friend of Boatsy, Simon Rood has also kindly donated £250.
Lynms the funeral directors have contributed £300 and a branch of the Nottingham Forest Supporters Club have donated £500, full details of this will follow in due course.
Kelly Mitchell set up a Go fund me page which has now raised £840 of the £1,000 target. The link is below and just £160 is now needed to reach the target.
There has also been a couple of smaller but valuable donations at the ground.
The Club now need one more push to get over the line and that will hopefully come from a second Super Football Card, the quiz night at the William Gunn on Monday, so please come and support what promises to be a cracking evening and from the memorabilia donated by Dave Perrin and another £160 is needed to complete the Go fund me page target.
One question that has been asked by supporters is do the club have plans in place to ensure this does not happen again and the answer is the club are currently working on plans to deal with that. The extra Speakers event due to take place in September and the Sports day in July will certainly be part of the equation given the direct debit has pretty much doubled going forward.
