FRUSTRATION FOR MILLERS , BUT GREAT TO MEET THE BRISTOL BOYS !
Carlton Town’s Niall Davey scored a far post equaliser after Tadcaster had taken the lead also with a far post finish, but the afternoon generally was one of frustration for the Millers.
Tadcaster started well in both periods and had an excellent chance early in the second half to take the lead, but after that it was one way traffic for the majority of the second half and in many ways it was a repeat of last week , with the Millers unable literally at times to force the ball over the line.
“It was a game you should have won” said VIP guest Charlie McParland at the final whistle, he was not wrong !
A big positive for the Millers was the Bristol Branch making their debut at Stoke Lane, they sponsored the game and the Dorking branch sponsored the programme, a big thankyou to them and to Taz for sponsoring the Matchball.
The Bristol lads were on top form and told us they will be back and are pictured with Charlie McFarland presenting Martin Ball with the sponsors Man of the Match award.
Bally got an assist, made a couple of vital last ditch interceptions in the first half and was a pain in the backside for the opposition with his areil presence as they hung on for a point at the death.
Carlton are 14th in the table after this draw and are no longer in action this Tuesday after Stocksbridgde drew in the Fa Cup.
The Millers are back in action next Saturday when they now visit Shildon Fc, the club will be running a coach and full details will be on this website in the next few days.
The next home game is a mouth watering local Derby on Tuesday 11th October when Grantham Town are the visitors to Stoke Lane.
