FOURTEEN GAMES UNBEATEN NOW FOR ON FIRE MILLERS !
Carlton Town made it an outstanding 14 games unbeaten with a well earned point at 7th placed North Ferriby on Saturday afternoon and remain 8th in the Northern Premier East League.
Carlton have won 10 and drawn 4 of those 14 games and are now 2 points outside the playoffs and if a Nat Watson effort in stoppage time had gone in rather than hit the bar, it would look even better for the in form Millers.
It was Niall Davie (pictured) who got the Millers goal from the penalty spot, but Alex Flett equalised directly from a corner early in the second half and although the Millers were disappointed not to go back to Nottingham with the three points. a point at North Ferriby is a good point indeed.
The teams above Carlton nearly all picked up points.
Top of the table Cleethorpes drew 2-2 at Bradford Park Avenue, 2nd placed Dunston drew 1-1 at Ossett United but Emley fell to a 3-1 defeat at Ashington.
There was a fine 2-0 win for Newton Aycliffe at Garforth and they are now 4th and an equally impressive 3-0 win for Stocksbridge over Pontefract Collieries.
Stocksbridge moved up to 5th, while Belper drop out of the playoffs positions into 6th place following a 0-0 draw at Bishop Auckland.
If really does look to be building to an exciting finish for those final top five spots and Carlton are back in action next Saturday 5th April when Brighouse are the visitors to Stoke Lane.
Carlton Town Tv got the first interview since his return to the club with Vice President Stuart Scott and Assistant manager Andy Clerke was also on hand to give his considered thoughts after the 1-1 draw, our apologies for the sound quality in parts, due to the powerful Yorkshire wind.
