FOREST LEGEND STEPS UP TO THE PLATE AND MORE EXCLUSIVE FOOTAGE FROM LAST SATURDAY

Carlton Town suffered a blow in last 24 hours when Nottingham Forest Legend Andy Reid’s young Nottingham Forest side, the development side he now coaches, as part of his remit at the club were allocated a fixture next Friday 4th April.
The only problem being of course, Andy was supposed to be entertaining the Carlton faithful, no problem however as one of his veteran, but outstanding team mates from the early part of this decade has agreed to step in for him.

A massive Carlton Town welcome next Friday for one of the greatest defenders ever to play for Forest, a true legend indeed, yes Des Walker has stepped in and will be our guest speaker next Friday.
Des played in an incredible 7 cup finals for Forest, winning 5 of them and was selected in the PFA team of the year for four years on the bounce, he was also voted Forest’s player of the year on 3 occasions and granted a testimonial by the club for his outstanding service.

Chairman Mick Garton and Commercial Chief Gary Clarke have contacted nearly everyone who has booked tables and as we go to press, not one table has cancelled their place at the sold out event.

The club are hoping that individuals who have booked tickets will also still come along and of those that the club have spoken to so far, we have had just one cancellation and sold that ticket immediately, but if anyone does wish to cancel their ticket, contact Gary on 07907 064189.

This website understands that the Andy Reid event is likely to be rescheduled for June or July as the club have been told a significant amount will need to be spent on the pitch this summer, running into thousands of pounds and including new equipment.
The money raised from that event in the summer will go towards this, so the club are hoping supporters will rally round when the new date is announced.

Finally we have some more fantastic and exclusive footage from Carlton Town Tv from the Carlton Town Clubhouse last Saturday, which was lively indeed as Niall Davie was recognised for his fantastic achievement of 300 appearances for the Millers.
