FIRST NEW SIGNING FOR THE MILLERS! A BIG WELCOME TO BRAD WELLS!

Carlton Town are delighted this evening to comfirm the signing of prolific Striker Brad Wells from Frickley Athletic.

The former Hednesford Town striker will have the tough job of replacing Arron Opoku, but Joint Manager Tommy Brookbanks told us this evening that his scoring record at this level or above for many seasons speaks for itself.

Tommy told us

“Delighted to get Brad wells on board. He’s a proven goal scorer. Me and mark rate him very highly. We knew we had a tough job on replacing Aaron opoku who was a big loss to our club but we feel we’ve got the perfect fit with Brad. It was refreshing to talk to him as we could tell immediately he clearly wanted to come and it was a quick negotiation to get him over the line. Welcome on board Brad”

Chairman Mick Garton told us

”I’m very much looking forward to meeting Brad and seeing him in the yellow and Blue next season, supporters can rest assured that there is alot of work going on behind the scenes with Tommy and Mark looking to sign a mix of youth and experience to hopefully improve on our 6th place finish last season and we will have further announcements in the coming days and weeks as we look to freshen the squad up and replace the excellent lads who have moved on, I have spoken at length with Tommy this week and he really believes that with the right service, Brad will bang in quite a few goals for us next season” concluded the Chairman.
