FANTASTIC NEWS OFF THE PITCH FOR MILLERS TO AS DRS PARNTERSHIP ANNOUNCED.
Carlton Town have have a good week, with two away wins in 8 days, the Millers now have a fighting chance of beating the drop.
This website is delighted to report further good news, with local company DRS LIMITED, DAVIES ROOFING SOLUTIONS stepping up to the plate to help Carlton construct a covered standing area behind the goal to the left of the changing rooms.
Much credit should go to the latest addition of the Millers commercial team “Mad Gav” as he is affectionately known who has worked tirelessly to secure a partner for this venture.
Quotes provided for the club looked like making the project untenable for the foreseeable future, but with help from the 150 club through the Supporters Club and the introduction of DRS , this covered area, something paricually wanted by the supporters is now on the road to happening and as part of the deal, the company will have naming rights for the stand.
Carlton have faced some of their biggest ever challenges this season financially, mainly due to the significant increase in travelling costs and many on the committee have been doing there best to help, either by raising money or significantly contributing themselves and that story is an ongoing one.
Boatsy has been heavily involved in this project as well and his hands on approach was highlighted when he turned up at the ground with DRS man Bevan (pictured starting work at the ground) to get started on the actual manual process this week.
Chairman Mick Garton told us “Massive credit to Mad Gav and Boatsy for alll their work and input on this, since the two of them have joined myself and Dave as part of this arm of the club, their contributions have been immense and I would like to place on record our thanks to Paul and Shaun the Joint owners of DRS for coming on board for this partnership and of course Bevan who will be overseeing and actively getting stuck in.”
“I can’t promise this will be finished overnight because it won’t, because obviously DRS have existing contracts to forfill that pay the bills, but we have a clear commitment to get this done over the coming weeks and we are so grateful for our new friends and sponsors who will be also taking out a mascot package at a home game shortly” concluded the Millers Chairman.
