DIEGO IN TO BOOST STRIKING OPTIONS AT STOKE LANE AHEAD OF BUSY WEEK

Carlton Town are delighted to have completed the loan signing today of young striker Diego Edwards from Notts County.
The Millers have been keen to bolster their attacking options with a crucial stage of the season ahead and Andy Clerke and Greg Tempest has been in touch with us bring the news.

Clerky told us

“This signings a really positive one ahead of the weekend, we’ve had a few knocks recently to players and have possibly been a forward light for a while so bringing Diego in now is a big plus.
Half of our remaining games take place over the next 4 weeks and so Diego will be coming in at a critical part of the season and I’m sure determined to make a real impression.
Big thanks to Dan, Greg and the team at Notts County for liaising with Wally through the back end the of week, making Diego available for the Emley game”
“Good luck Diego”

Greg Tempest,  now among our first team coaching staff and indeed a player we have recently welcomed back, was delighted to see Diego at Stoke Lane.

”I’m delighted to see Diego join us at Carlton from Notts County on loan. Diegos an athletic and agile striker and is currently in his second year as a professional, looking to hit the ground running and help the team continue their good run of form. Diego had a brilliant 2024 making his debut for St.kitts and Nevis national team, making a number of appearances for them”

The Carlton faithful will certainly be looking forward to seeing the new boy in action, as Carlton have 3 games in the next 8 days as they face Emley AFC at home on Saturday, Sheffield Fc away on Tuesday and then Newton Aycliffe at home on Saturday 22nd February, a busy week indeed for the Millers.
